Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University (Urdu: جامعہ شہید بینظیر بھٹو ) is a higher education institution, established in 2009 with a presidential order . which is located at Sheringal in the Dir district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.
In 2001 University of Malakand was opened at Lower Dir district. It had two campuses, the main campus at Chakdara and a regional campus at Sheringal. Najam Udding Khan (MNA – Dir Upper) realized that with little efforts the campus can be upgraded to a university. He started struggle for it and finally succeeded.
