Gate of the King Dahir’s fort in Sindh-Pakistan.
Through this gate in 8th century famous 17 years old Muslim conqueror Muhammad bin Qasim had entered in sub-continent India. He had landed in front of this fort on the banks of Arabian sea and his army first time had used a kind of canon to throw heavy round shaped stones to break the heavy walls of this fort.
Raja Dahir was surprised by this technique of Muslim army and could not resist more than a few days. This place was called then “Debal” and now it’s name is Bhanbhore, from Muslims’ point of view it is an important historic place.
