The water requirement for various sub-sectors of water use in the province of Balochistan, over the next two decades (2006-2025), has to be realistically assessed and then related to the balance of water available for future development. The challenge is to have continued and sustained increases in agricultural productivity, so that province maintains the contribution of the agriculture sector in terms of increased employment and enhanced income generation for the ever-increasing population.
