IQRA University is a private higher education university in Pakistan with main campus located at Karachi, Sindh and campuses atIslamabad, Karachi and Quetta, (Formerly up-to 2010 its campus was also located at Peshawar). It was established in 1998 by the businessman Hunaid H. Lakhani. Initially known as “Asian Management Institute”, the institution was renamed later on as the “IQRA university” on the request of the governor of Sindh.

It is chartered by the Government of Sindh vide Sindh Government Ordinance No.VI of 2000 and is recognized by HEC (Higher Education Commission). It has collaborations with foreign universities. It offers a range of graduate and postgraduate courses as well as PhD programmes in Management Sciences, Computer Sciences, Engineering, Education, Media Sciences, and Fashion Designing.

IQRA University has the highest number of faculty members with Ph.D. in Pakistan.  All engineering programs offered are Pakistan Engineering Council approved.
