LAHORE: The International Vulture Awareness Day was observed in the metropolis on Saturday, with the day’s theme being creating awareness regarding environmental importance of vultures in world, especially the Pakistan’s white-rumped vulture (Gyps bengalensis).
An event in this regard was organised by the World Wide Fund (WWF)-Pakistan at the Lahore Zoo, which was attended by a large number of students and families.
