Banjosa is a small tourist attraction point about 20 kilometres (12 mi) fromRawalakot, Azad Kashmir. Banjousa is a village of Rawalakot. Banjousa is kashmiri noun, consist of two parts “Ban” means forest and jousa was owner of whole banjousa land. Banjousa have three main marketplace, (mareed na bagla), R.A bazar and miral gala. It has the popular Banjosa Lake.

Elevation: The site is at an elevation of 1798 m above mean sea level
Features: This is the only planned tourist resort in the area. Banjosa is a beautiful lake surrounded by lush green mountains offering spectacular views. A few rest houses are constructed in the surroundings of this lake. Some tuck shops are also present at the lake but not properly managed and arranged. Weather is pleasant in summer and occasional snowfall in winter. Available area for development is around 5 acres.
How to reach?
By Car
Rawalakot is connected with Islamabad and other big cities by Guoien Nalla road that runs between Rawalakot and Azad pattan,Also you can travel Goin Nalla to Mong to Rawalakot.
It is located 80 km away from Islamabad. By Road It takes two to three and a half hour to Rawalakot which is also famous by the name of “Pearl Valley” its specialty is natural beauty of peaks and warm people.
By Bus
Rawalkot has regular connections with major cities. By Bus it takes at least 5 hours and by wagon it takes almost three and a half hour.
